(in process of being up-dated: 2010 and beyond!)For the last 15 -17 months, this office has played a significant role in re-shaping some of the most crucial social justice polices of UCT, namely Sexual Harassment, Sexual Offences and Racial Discrimination policies. This has proved to be a daunting, challenging, yet highly educative and rewarding experience.
At the moment, The Sexual Harassment and Sexual Offences policies are being distributed and discussed in a campus-wide process of consultation with staff and students.
After-Hours
Other important news is that this office now offers a 24 hour service, a long-awaited and necessary additional support service, especially for sexual assault, rape and harassment victim/survivors...This service is co-ordinated and provided by Rashieda Khan, and the after-hours number is available at Campus Protection Services:
