Born in 1953, this KwaZulu artist is a trained architect who worked in private for six years and studied ceramic science at the Natal Technikon.

Both vivid local ehnic imagery and his architectural expertise are key elements in his sculptural form, both traditional and invented, is accentuated with minimal decoration and subtle colour use.

Among his awards: 1989 First Prize Corobrick Regional Exhibition 1996 Design Award, National Ceramics Biennial, Johannesburg
