"People seem to no longer know what their culture is, what their tradition is. And if you don't know where you're coming from, you won't know where you're going. The mill moved my interest in conservation. I strongly feel that we have to conserve bits and pieces of our history, so that we will know where we are going."

About the mill and the nine pots

This artwork explores society's need for storage and preservation. Nine handmade pot-like forms, which are seen to represent the nine provinces, have been installed in the historic mill. This work speaks of the need to conserve all the resources related to a communities' existence and vitality.
