Andry Kashivi

| Andry Kashivi was born during the 1950s in Kunjamba, Angola. Her family was subsistence farmers who cultivated mealies, corn, pumplah, godola and other vegetables, supplemented by hunting and gathering. As adult, she settled at Omega in Namibia with her husband, who was employed as a sergeant in the South African Defence Force, while she worked in the military camps kitchen. After settling in Schmidtsdrift in 1990, Kashivi joined the Adult Education Programme.
