QAWALI CONCERT – CHAND QADRI AFZAL CHISHTI

Chand Qadri

Sunday 2 June at 19:45 (Theatre)

Chand Qadri is one of India’s leading exponents of Qawali, the music of the Sufis, with its origins going back some 800 years to the Indo-Pak subcontinent.

Come see this artist live in action and experience the sometimes soulful, sometimes energetic mix of vocals, middle-eastern instrumentation, harmonious percussion and rhythmic hand-clapping that makes Qawali so popular amongst young and old alike.

This dynamic artist will be showcasing many of his new items, as well as some of his older favourites, and the audience will be reminded, once again, why he is one of Cape Town’s favourite Qawali artists.

Duration: 4 hours
