Karl Stielau

Qualifications and Experience

Karl was appointed senior lecturer in the department in 2000. He was educated in KwaZulu-Natal. He was lecturer in Statistics & Biometry at the University of Natal from 1987-1998, visiting Lecturer in Statistics at the University of Zimbabwe in 1993 and senior lecturer in the School of Mathematics, Statistics & Information Technology at the University of Natal from 1998-2000.

Research Interests

Karl's interests lie in statistical education, ecological statistics, sampling and surveys (of both human and animal populations), adaptive sampling, and probability models.
