RESPONSIBILITIES

Dominique Katshunga lectures STA101H to first year CADP (Commerce Academic Development Program) students and Theory of statistics B (STA410) to Statistics honours students.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Dominique completed his "Licence" (honours) in Mathematical Statistics in 1996 at the College of Statistics, Democratic Republic of Congo.
He obtained his MSc in 2004 from UCT under the supervision of Prof C. Troskie and Prof TT Dunne. The title of his thesis was "Identifying outliers and ifluential observations in general linear regression models".
He is currently pursuing Doctoral studies, provisionally entitled "Understanding Swamping and Masking using Copulas", under the supervision of Prof C. Troskie and ass. Prof C. Thiart.
He was appointed lecturer in the Department in 2005.
