QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Academic Qualifications:
2006: MPhil in Education, specialising in Higher Education Studies (awarded with distinction)

2004: BSc Hons Statistics (First Class), University of Cape Town, South Africa.
2001: BSc (Majored in Actuarial Science and Statistics), University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Experience:
I have been a part time lecturer in the Department of Statistical Sciences since 2002 and have lectured STA1001F/S/P, STA1000F/S and STA2020F.
I hold the portfolio of WebCT co-ordinator and am therefore responsible for the online learning environments of courses in the department.
In July 2005 I visited the Department of Statistics at the University of Auckland in New Zealand, in order to get a feel for what other undergraduate stats courses around the world are doing.
I am very excited about what we are doing here at UCT and have great plans for the future of our undergraduate courses!
I have recently completed my MPhil in Education through the Centre for Higher Education Development at UCT and plan to begin my PhD studies in the near future.
