Academic Qualifications

·    2007: University of Cape Town, Msc in Mathematical Statistics, dissertation entitled "Nonlinear Mixed Effects Modeling of Gametocyte Carriage in Patients with Uncomplicated Malaria".

·    2003  University of Cape Town, B.Com Honours in Statistics, Awarded with first class honours, class medal.

·    1991-1995   University of Cape Town, Bachelor of Business Science (Marketing Honours), Awarded with distinction in Applied Business Statistics.


Experience
In 2003 I returned to UCT to begin my honours in statistics after working for approximately 6 years in the internet industry, including running my own internet startup company. Before this I worked as a game ranger and backpacked around Asia.

 

From 2004 until the end of 2007 I ran the statistical consulting service offered by the Department. In addition to this I also lectured Biostatistics on a masters in public health at medical school, as well as administering technical support to all members of the department.

From 2008 I have moved into a lecturer position and will be lecturing STA1000F and S as well as Biostatistics.
