Linda hails from the Eastern Cape and she joined the ADU after getting to know some of us at the Robben Island ferry booking office where she had a contract job. Linda has spent the last 3 years doing data capture for the CAR, CWAC and BIRP projects where her high standard of work has endeared her to all the project coordinators. More recently she has joined Donella on the CAR counts and is learning to recognise the different birds along the route.
In June 2005 Linda took over many of the financial responsibilities in ADU and it has been a challenge she has met head-on She does all the ordering of everything needed from pens to plane tickets, and keeps track of donations and other money matters.
Many of us are welcomed by Linda's broad smile and cheery greeting at the start of the working day as she is one of the first to arrive. She happily tries her hand and assists with most of the varied tasks, but is reluctant to catch pelicans again!!
In her spare time Linda enjoys reading and is also very keen to help others.
