Qualifications and experience

Michael obtained his National Diploma in Nature Conservation at the Cape Technicon. He then worked for SANParks from 1999-2001, and was first stationed as a student in the Cape Peninsula National Park and then as Section ranger in the Agulhas National Park. Following this he ran a computer consultancy in the Bredsadorp area, catering to the farming community.

He has been involved in developing monitoring software for various conservation organisations such as Working for Water and Ukuvuka, as well as developing management assistance software for farmers.

Current project are the development of the SAFRING database as well as upgrading various other ADU database projects.
