Louries or Touracos (Family Musophagidae)

A ringing history of Louries in southern Africa, 1948-2001

There are 20 species in Africa, of which 3 occur in southern Africa. "Schalow's Lourie" (Tauraco schalowi) is here considered as conspecific with Knysna Lourie.

Ringing totals and capture methods

Relatively few louries have been ringed, retrapped and recovered.
