ANIMATED VERSION OF THE EPIC JOURNEY OF PETER, PAMELA AND PERCY Now that the Peter, Pamela and Percy Penguin have made a safe return to their islands, you can see the day-by-day maps in the animation below. Peter was released from Port Elizabeth on Friday 30 June, Percy three days later, and Pamela another two days later. When all the penguins get to the end of their journeys, they start out again, and again. Each frame is displayed for one second. Enjoy. Please take a few minutes to browse around the rest of this website, and especially take a look at all the other Treasure stories. The stories of Pieter the penguin (after whom our Peter was named!), originally published in the Avian Demography Unit's newsletter Bird Numbers, are also on the website.
