With effect from the beginning of the 2nd semester of 2000, the Law Faculty and its various departments -- including the Marine and Shipping Law Unit -- have moved from the upper campus to what was previously known as the "Education Building" on UCT's middle campus. The Shipping Law Unit is on Level 5, in Room 5.01 on your left as you climb the spiral staircase from the North-West entrance, and directly opposite the elevator (lift).
The building has been renamed "The Wilfred and Jules Kramer Law School". The Education Department, the building's previous main occupants, have moved back to the upper campus.
