Philosophy Plus
The Philosophy Plus
programme is run in the two core first-year courses
(PHI1024F and PHI1010S as well as in PHI1025F). It is
intended to provide additional assistance to students who
require it. Participation in the programme is a strongly
recommended for students in one of the extended degree
programmes and for students who have failed the course
before. Other students may apply to be admitted to the
programme. Places are limited and students will be admitted
at the discretion of the relevant course convener.
The Philosophy Plus programme consists of an additional tutorial and tutorial assignments each week. The Philosophy Plus tutorials are given by an experienced tutor. Attendance at the tutorials and submission of the assignments constitute additional DP (Duly Performed) requirements over and above the regular DP requirements for the given course.
