Programmes

We offer our programmes with certain assumptions:

• Adults learn best when they are working with information and situations that interest them and directly pertain to their work.
• Active learning happens when real people are faced with real problems in real situations where they carry the real responsibility.

These assumptions underpin our approach to teaching and learning and we have designed the programmes, modules and assignments accordingly.
We are committed to participative teaching and learning and often use small group learning. We have tried to design learning activities and assignments that are directly related to a learner's work setting.

Current Programmes

Post graduate Diploma in Nursing with pathways in :

• nursing education
• nursing management
• child nursing
• ophthalmic nursing
• critical care nursing (general)
• post-basic (advanced) Midwifery and neonatal care
• critical care nursing (child)

Students must be registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Nurse. To do the Advanced Midwifery programme students must be registered with the SANC as a midwife as well.
