The 3rd Cape Town Neuroendoscopy Course will take place immediately before the biennial congress of the SA Society of Neurosurgeons meeting. This course builds on the previous workshops held in 2005 and 2004 - both hands-on courses that laid the foundation for basic neuroendoscopy and introduced pituitary endoscopic approaches. The upcoming course will focus on consolidating the theory and practical techniques for basic cranial endoscopic procedures and transsphenoidal endoscopy, but will be extended by the inclusion of sessions and cadaver workshop teaching the transbrow supraorbital approach for aneurysm surgery and minimally invasive approaches to the spine.

The course will consist of a series of interactive lectures by the faculty, which includes Graham Fieggen, Tony Figaji, Patrick Semple, Ben Warf, Allan Taylor and David Welsh, as well as cadaver-based hands-on practical sessions. For more information, contact Graham Fieggen at gfieggen@ich.uct.ac.za.
