Please note the HPCSA note regarding new requirements for the registration of specialists in SA. Amongst others, there is a requirement that  training institutions provide evidence of continuous integrated assessment during training, as a requirement for registration as specialist in SA.

 

3rd annual UCT refresher course for FCP part 1 examination

Date:            Friday 29 June – Sunday 1 July 2012

Venue:         Lecture Theatre 2
                    Groote Schuur Hospital
                    Cape Town        

The course includes lectures and study material that revise the entire FCP part 1 syllabus as prescribed by the CMSA.

The topics covered are: cardiovascular system; cell biology; connective tissue, soft tissue and joints; endocrine system; gastrointestinal tract and liver; genetics; geriatric medicine; haemopoietic system; immune system; infectious diseases; metabolism and nutrition; nervous system; pharmacotherapeutics; physiological changes during pregnancy; renal system, fluid and electrolyte balance; research skills and use of evidence; respiratory system.

Cost of course: R 500

Includes study material, lunch and refreshments
