REFLECTIONS ON THE SPANISH FLU PANDEMIC AFTER 80 YEARS
CAUSES, COURSE & CONSEQUENCES
1998 marks the 80th anniversary of the Spanish flu pandemic, the worst global pandemic of modern times. This year is therefore an appropriate moment to reflect upon this catastrophe, its causes, course and consequences. To this end an international, multi-disciplinary conference was held at UCT from 12 to 15 September 1998.
