Edward was born and schooled in Durban. He completed a BSc in
Environmental Sciences and a BSc Hons in Ecological Sciences at UKZN,
Pietermaritzburg. His honours project involved a study of the long term
impacts of browsers on woody vegetation in Ithala Game Reserve, northern
KwaZulu-Natal. Upon completing his honours Ed worked for Indwe
Environmental Consulting, based in East London, where he gained
practical experience in compiling Environmental Impact Assessments and
Environmental Management Plans. He has a broad range of interests in the
natural sciences and enjoys being out in the field. He has travelled
extensively but maintains a passion for South Africa and its wildlife.
