ESSM to host an Electromyography Workshop, 11 - 13 May 2011

Electromyography is becoming a popular tool for research and diagnostic medicine. It contains a wealth of information on both the state of the muscle
and on the central nervous system control strategies that govern it. The workshop intends to inform researchers and medical practioners how useful EMG can be in research and the clinical area but also emphasising how important it is to analyse the data appropriately. By analyzing the data inappropriately one can reduce the chance of detecting biological variation and incur experimental error. The workshop will provide both scientific and practical understanding on how EMG can be used for noninvasive assessment of neuromuscular function. The presenters will inform the participants of the different types of EMG measurements best used in for
research and clinical population. Please complete this form to register - closing date for registration is the 29th April 2011 - and email this delegate information sheet to the organisers. Read this form for information about accommodation.
