Funded research projects:
Carolyn has recently completed a SANPAD funded project entitled Language, Identity and Learning: exploring language practices of children/youth attending desegregated schools in urban South Africa. She is currently completing the project Schooling girls in post-apartheid South Africa: exploring the construction of youth identities in desegregated girls’ schools funded by a US Spencer foundation/National Academy of Education post-doctoral fellowship.
