Interests: Primary school teaching and learning, concept acquisition and development, Vygotskian and Piagetian frameworks in developmental psychology, culture, language and cognition.
Currently investigating children's learning and cognitive development in primary schools in South Africa. Students in South Africa and Southern Africa (SADC countries) intending to do research at masters level in learning and cognitive development in primary school, and who have a background in developmental psychology and education, are encouraged make contact by e-mail to enquire about the Master of Education by research (dissertation only) and the coursework Master's in Primary Education.
