Mission:
The Maternal and Child Health Information and
Resource Centre (MCHIRC) is committed to supporting the information needs of health
workers in Maternal and Child Health (MCH) at the primary and district level throughout
Southern Africa.
Activities:
Producing a free newsletter
(MCH News) of MCH-related
policy, research, practice, and resources;
Dissemination of MCH information and free
resources;
Supporting the M.Phil (MCH) distance learning programme of the Child
Health Unit;
Providing a telephone information service and toy
library for families of
children with special needs (Child Care Information
Centre);
Hosting an electronic mail discussion group on MCH
issues
