Activity 14: Looking ahead: Leaving space for more shing and AHA moments
| The purpose here is to keep the hero story alive in the future. |
| Instruction: "This is the month of ... . On the last page of your hero book, you drew the hero, you. Now go to the next blank page and leave a space for next month, another shining or AHA moment in which you might feel like a hero or when you have power over this problem. Remember the clock and the calendar you drew on your shining moment page? Well, we want you to be on the look-out for the moment next month, when you most felt like a hero. Once this moment has come to pass, and you know it for what it is, make sure you draw the details of this moment in a drawing and fill in the time and date. And keep on recording thee moments for the next few months until your hero book is full." |
You can help the children to line up these new future experiences and memories to be, by drawing 6 pages on the board or by making an example page
Each page should have a heading,
"MY SHINING MOMENT IN (MARCH) -
THEN IN THE TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE PAGE IT SHOULD ALSO HAVE A CLOCK, JUST
THE CIRCLE, THEY MUST FILL IN THE HANDS ONCE THE SHINING MOMENT HAS HAPPENED,
AND ALSO PLACE FOR THE DATE.
