Political Activists/ Nomaindia Mfeketo (pa.17)
This clip is taken from an interview conducted in 1989 by Dr. V.C Malherbe with the former mayor of Cape Town, Ms Nomaindia Mfeketo.
The interview concentrated on her life as a political activist within South Africa as an ANC underground operative. Ms Mfeketo was attested and detained a number of times during the 1980's and she speaks of the conditions and personal difficulties she suffered during those detentions. During one of these times - she was in prison with her new born baby son.
The clip concentrates specifically on her experience of having a baby in the prison cell with her.
