Senior Specialist
Born in the Netherlands, but immigrated to South Africa as a young boy.
Educated in Johannesburg, (Greenside High School) and completed undergraduate training at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
After working off a bursary at the Evander Mine Hospital, migrated south to Cape Town to complete post graduate training at the University of Cape Town.
Current interests include cardiac anaesthesia, intensive care, paediatric anaesthesia and anaesthesia equipment.
Currently responsible for the undergraduate teaching programme, and on the Refresher Course Committee.
Married to Avril with 2 children. (Judy and Peter).
Other interests include travel, camping, cycling and Orienteering.
