Centre for Pain Management

What treatment options do we provide?

The treatment options offered by the Centre for Pain Management will vary from patient to patient.
All treatment is tailored to the specific nature of the particular pain illness experienced by an individual.
Not all patients are treated the same. We will work out a programme for each individual patient and offer all the options and explain the benefits and weaknesses of all the modalities offered.
It will be up to each patient to decide what is suitable for him or her.
The staff of the Centre will not, under any circumstances, coerce any patient to undergo any form of therapy that is not acceptable.

The following is the range of therapies offered :-

  • Diagnostic nerve blocks
  • Medications
  • Exercises and strengthening programmes
  • Dietary advice
  • Help with smoking cessation
  • Stress coping
  • Relaxation
  • Group therapy
  • Cancer pain relief
  • Family therapy
  • Patient education
