The South African Association of Canadian Studies aims to promote and support Canadian Studies within the Western Cape, to stimulate intellectual and cultural exchange between Canadian and Western Cape universities, and to explore topics of mutual interest to Canadians and South Africans.

The Association was launched with an inaugural meeting and keynote address by eminent philosopher, historian and novelist John Ralston Saul on Monday 7th November 2005.

The first lecture of 2006 took place on Thursday 16 March. The lecture, given by leading scholars, Professors Heribert Adam and Kogila Moodley focused on diversity and identity in South Africa and Canada.

If you would like to receive information about future events organised by the Association, please send us your e-mail details.
